Cabarrus County is a county located in the south-central part of the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the population was 178,011. The county seat is Concord, which was incorporated in 1803.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 364 square miles (940 km²), of which 362 square miles (940 km²) is land and 2.7 square miles (7.0 km²) (0.7%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 131,063 people, 49,519 households, and 36,545 families residing in the county. The population density was 360 people per square mile (139/km²). There were 52,848 housing units at an average density of 145 per square mile (56/km²).
